Chamomile is a highly prized herb. It has a long standing medicinal tradition. The Egyptians used it for their beauty rituals. It is a perennial herb that is native to Europe and the United States.  It has wonderful skin healing properties, which include helping to tone skin ,it is good for rashes, it softens the skin and acts as an
 anti inflammatory. The essential oil is also good for sensitive skin. Chamomile is a natural relaxant, it is calming and soothing. Chamomile also makes a great stress reducing sleep inducing tea. This herb can also relieve spasms and soothes digestion. Chamomile may also work as an antihistamine, it also has antimicrobial properties. 
 It is a very valuable herb. It is one of the most expensive essential oils.

Sleep inducing tea

8 ounces of boiling water
1 tsp dried chamomile flowers
1 tsp dried spearmint leaves
1 tsp dried lavender flowers
makes 2 cups

steep for 5 minutes and enjoy.

Stress reducing mist spray

4 ounces of distilled water
8 drops of chamomile essential oil
4 ounce plastic or glass spray bottle. 

Add chamomile essential oil to distilled water in spray bottle. Shake well before each use. Spray in the air, or a tissue or handkerchief and breath in the fragrance. You can also spray on to your pillow to help you sleep.
